Deposit
A refundable security deposit of R1,000 is payable prior to delivery. This deposit serves as security against any damages, missing items, or excessive wear and tear to the rented furniture. The deposit (less any applicable deductions) will be refunded within 14 days after collection and inspection of the furniture.-
Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection of the rented furniture are included in the rental fee and will be arranged at mutually agreed times. The client must ensure that access to the premises is suitable for delivery and collection. -
Furniture Relocation
Should the client relocate during the rental period and wish to move the rented furniture to a new address, a furniture relocation fee of R2,500 will apply. The relocation service must be arranged with the company at least 30 calendar days in advance and is subject to availability. -
Cancellation and Termination
The client may cancel or terminate the rental agreement by providing one (1) full calendar month’s written notice. Early termination without proper notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit and any prepaid rental amounts. -
Care and Use of Furniture
The client agrees to use the furniture in a careful and responsible manner. The client will be liable for any damages, stains, or loss beyond normal wear and tear. Repairs or replacements will be deducted from the security deposit, or invoiced if costs exceed the deposit amount. -
Ownership
All rented items remain the property of the company at all times. The client shall not sell, sublet, or otherwise dispose of the furniture. -
Appliance Faults and Replacement
Should any rented appliance become faulty or stop working during the rental period, UniFurn.co.za undertakes to replace or repair the appliance within 48 (forty-eight) hours of being notified, subject to availability. The replacement may be a similar model of equal quality. UniFurn.co.za shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from the fault or failure of an appliance, including but not limited to the spoilage of perishable food items resulting from a refrigerator or freezer malfunction.
